A five-dish table becomes manageable when work is spread across techniques and days. Choose one blanched namul, one quick fresh vegetable, one egg dish, one braised or stir-fried dish, and one fermented or pickled item.
The launch table uses seasoned spinach, cucumber muchim, rolled egg, soy-braised potatoes, and purchased kimchi. Prepare potatoes and spinach ahead, make cucumber close to serving, and cook egg fresh.
Use separate utensils for raw egg and ready-to-eat foods. Cool cooked dishes promptly in shallow containers and follow conservative storage guidance.
The five dishes are a teaching framework, not a rule of Korean dining. The accompanying recipes are honestly labeled editorial drafts until kitchen validation is recorded.
